Artist Spotlight: Joseph “Coolie” Antonetti – Inmate #160646

Joseph Antonetti, known to many as “Coolie,” is a featured artist of Felon Wear Clothing Co. and a powerful example of transformation through creativity. Having entered the prison system at just 16 years old, Joseph has now served more than 30 years and is currently serving two life sentences at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. Despite the weight of those years, his spirit, talent, and determination remain unshaken.

Whether tattooing or putting pen to paper, Joseph has an extraordinary ability to capture raw emotion and the reality of the moment he is living in. His artwork reflects depth, resilience, and authenticity—turning lived experience into powerful visual storytelling.

Throughout his incarceration, Joseph has earned multiple certificates and degrees across various fields, continually investing in his own growth. More importantly, he uses his voice to mentor and encourage young people to stay out of trouble and avoid the path he once took. He believes strongly in personal accountability, growth, and seeing others succeed. Helping guide the next generation is one of his greatest passions.

Beyond his art and advocacy, Joseph’s favorite pastime is playing Magic: The Gathering—a reminder that even in the hardest places, creativity and imagination still thrive.

Joseph is actively fighting to have his sentence reduced, holding onto hope that one day he may walk free. Until then, he continues to create, inspire, and connect. You can follow his journey on TikTok at @coolie.doing.life_ and on Facebook under Joey Antonetti. He also welcomes communication through the GTL app.

Felon Wear Clothing Co. proudly supports artists who turn struggle into strength—and Joseph “Coolie” Antonetti embodies that mission.
